Q. It’s been quite a busy year for you in terms of productions. You’ve released much material, including your “Mea Spell” album over at Spring Tube. How do you feel about 2013?
A. This 2013 musically was great for me, being on a traxsource chart and supported by artists like Armin van Buuren and Roger Sanchez was for me a big satisfaction
Q. What can we expect in 2014?
Q. Where does your creativity and inspiration come from?
Q. You also attended the NuT Academy where you gained a lot of your skills as a Deep House producer. What was that experience like?
A. I have various inspirations and it depends on days. Usually I hear from Metal to Japanese Music, I reach inspiration watching anime, yeah, I'm a fan of this Japanese culture. My musical roots started from Trance, 90's Dance Music then to Progressive house. So I reached other musical genres, and appreciate all electronic music.
Q. What’s the next big step for Anthony Mea as an artist and producer?
A. I don't know what you can expect for 2014, I hope to not betray the audience which follows me and admires my work.
A. I attend this Academy in Naples where I learned a lot, and it also opened my mind. I originally started with another musical genre then I transitioned to deep house
"For me... it's essential
to give all myself
in a record"
Q. You’re one of Spring Tube’s core Deep House artists. What’s the greatest thing about working this team?
A. Spring Tube was the only label that believed in me from the beginning and I have to give a lot to the Label Manager, Mr Sergey. I very much appreciate this man.
A. My next step will be to keep on producing and to spread myself through productions. I hope not to stop and first of all to do live gigs in front of a crowd which really appreciates my work
Q. And why Deep House?
Q. Collaborations are very common for you. You’ve done work with artists such as Raha & Jonas Afonso. What would be a dream collaboration for you as a Deep House Artist and why?
A. I worked with this russian guy Raha and I was really excited to use his vocals and then I worked also with Bplan (Peppe Fimiani) a dearest friend. In the past I worked with emerging bands and I hope to collaborate with other artists 'cause it's a way to grow and compare with others.
A. There isn't a why about how I do this musical genre, I feel it deep inside me and I don't make a record only for wasting time or only for a kind of people, for me It's essential to give all myself in a record.
