Q. Hey Christina! Great to have you here at www.scorpiojin.com. New year, new beginnings, but looking backwards a bit, how was 2013 for you as an artist?

A. 2013 was a truly incredible year. I had my first-ever DJ gigs and was lucky enough to play Liv in Miami, Pascha and Governor’s Island in New York, and a few other huge shows, which was a real privilege.
Q. What exciting new things do you plan to bring to your fans this year?
A. This year I’m going to be releasing my first solo single, and I’ll be doing a hell of a lot more shows!
A. When I feel nervous I tap out drum beats with my fingers, and make beatboxing noise. The only problem with this is that I can’t beatbox, so the result is… interesting.
Q. You’ve worked with a lot of major artists, some of the best and most famous in the Industry. What’s the best thing about collaborating with artists such as Dash Berlin, Craig Connelly, and TyDi?
A. I actually have one answer for all three: They’re all f*cking passionate about music! The guys are such hard workers, it’s been a real honour to work with them.
Q. Last words or an inspiring quote for the readers
A. Without you all, this wouldn’t be possible… so, thank you.
P.S. Go hard, or go home!!
A. No! Haha. Not at all. I think I’ve still got a long way to go.

"I can't imagine my life
without electronic music..."
Q. Singers and songwriters usually have a lot flexibility as to which genres they can focus on. What made you interested in electronic music as opposed to other genres?
A. Gareth Emery. Haha! I didn’t have much experience of the EDM world before my collaboration with Gareth, but I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the music and the people. I can’t imagine my life without electronic music now. I think if it just disappeared, the world would be a very sad place. Haha.
Q. Do you have intentions to experiment with other styles? Or is electronic now and forever your home?
A. I’ve always experimented with different styles. Writing gives you the freedom to do that. That’s the beauty of music.

Q. Do you feel as if you’ve finally made it?
Q. You’re very close to the Emery family, collaborating with Gareth and also represented by his sister, Roxanne. I’m sure you’re quite a creative bunch, what’s it like when all the kids are together?
A. They’re both incredibly talented, and it’s pretty mind blowing when we get together to make music! They’re both such amazing people, too. I’m very excited about 2014 with these guys.
