Jeff Tuliniemi is an American photographer currently residing on the outskirts of London after having the privilege of living in Helsinki for 3 years. Throughout his photography career, Jeff has secured many international publications and awards, however this is not what keeps him motivated. Specialising in editorial, fashion, and beauty photography, Jeff draws inspiration from many mediums. Rather than focusing on one photographic style, he appreciates the vision behind all photography; from reportage to street and lifestyle. A mixture of compositions by Joseph Koudelka and Henri Cartier-Bresson and editorial themes by Steven Meisel and Peter Lindbergh defines Jeff's stylistic tendencies, creating a portfolio that emphasises the beauty in us all.
Like most photographers recently, Jeff shoots predominately on digital but his love for analogue quite frequently sees him shoot on film. From 35mm to medium to Format and Polaroids, it is not common for Jeff to shoot an entire editorial using only film. This hasn't gone unnoticed, with designers requesting work on film to accompany editorials.
Jeff's appreciation for the raw reality of everyday life and the fleeting beauty of femininity flows through his images, capturing every picture with that in mind. The situations, the emotions, and the energy are a reminder of the subtleties that are missed throughout our day to day lives.
