The main difference will be putting out original music. All the theory stuff I’m going to just keep on doing day by day, little by little. The goal isn’t to have everyone know who I am, it’s just to keep making a living doing something that I love.
Q. There is no single genre to which your creativity can be categorized. Many of your tracks have elements of electronic music, pop, even hip-hop... is this something you do intentionally or do you just go with the music in the moment…
I had such a nice response to it. A lot of people are unaware that I sing and write/produce music so it was cool to finally put something out in 2014. I can’t wait to release more music this year.
Q. You're coming off the release of your single "Medicine" as well as the remix EP which came out a month ago. How do you think it has performed since it was released?
Q. You're a few days away from your Australian tour with several performances scheduled in Perth and Sydney. How do you plan to redefine yourself in 2015 and make more people aware of the name "KLP”?
"I just go with whatever comes out at the time when I'm writing..."

Maybe I should change my answer for the prior question to get rid of female comparisons and tall poppy syndrome. Imagine what the ‘music industry’ would be like if people supported other peoples success and celebrated differences?! Ask me about an artist that musically has a connection to me and I’ll answer that ;
Q. A lot of internet discussion has been had recently over Iggy Azalea's level of fame in American hip-hop music. There are many who believe she has not yet earned her place in this arena and has no respect for its history. As a female Australian artist, what are your views on this controversy?
Q. Which artists have inspired you over 2014?
Zhu, Tiga, The 2 Bear
I just go with whatever comes out at the time when I’m writing. I think my music this year will be a little more focused though.
There needs to be a better system for controlling downloads and streaming music. I don’t know what that is (I wish I knew the answer!), but a no tolerance approach never seems to work. There has to be a more intelligent solution
Q. If there's one thing you could change in music today, what would it be?
Q. What do you consider to be your dream collaboration?
Q. Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I have a birth mark in my hair… one quite large blonde streak on the top of my hair and a small one on the left hand side.
Be realistic: Prepare for a miracle. Osho
