I have a BA in criminal justice and an AA in humanities and social science. I had dreams of becoming a crime scene photographer and analyst, but instead I became a photographer. I believe I have a unique flare to my work. I sometimes wonder if my dream job and my "real" job haven't collided in an amazing and perfect manner. My work presents Gothic and mythical scenes. I love Greek mythology, the stories are dark, romantic, and tragic. I try to capture that in my photography. I want to show and capture emotions behind each and every image. My goal is to cause those emotions, to cause the "awe" moment.
I just started to do my underwater series, and it's been interesting. A lot of models, believe it is easy, and it is NOT! I love all the images, I have captured, but my favorite is "Desperation". The emotion behind is amazing. The yelling, the struggle with the rope, the drowning feeling, the water makes me feel like I am drowning, or overwhelmed with everyday struggles. I know i am not done with this journey of underwater. I believe, it will get better and better.
