Marta Bevacqua was born in Rome in 1989. She started being interested in photography during high school; once graduated in 2008, she became fully dedicated to this passion, and today has becme her job. Marta started making experiences in various photography fields like set photography, books, and lookbooks, despite the fact that fine art remains her largest field of experimentation.
After a collective exhibition in London in 2009, she entered in contact with Arcangel Images’s staff and she started collaborating for book covers, thing she even now as freelance a freelance photographer (realizing the image for one of the books written by the nobel prize winner of 2014, Alice Munro) and with 2 other agencies.
After some years Marta starts became interested in fashion photography. After a campaign for Romeo Gigli Eyewear (2011) and a short course in Fashion Photography at the Central Saint Martins school of London, she started realizing various fashion editorials, published in several magazines (like POSE, Kult, Flawless,Papier Mache, Trend Prive mag, Ben trovato, In Bloom ecc) and advertising campaigns, like the most recent for Generator Hostel Paris (2014).
During the same year she participated in various initiatives by PhotoVogue (Vogue Italia) after being selected and noticed on the website. In the last years, she realized various exhibitions, several collectives, and one solo exhibition at the ExEliografica of Perugia, during the famous Umbria Jazz Festival (2012).
She has also won various contests and has obtained several mentions in big contests like Px3 and the International Photography Awards. Today Marta works mainly as a fashion photographer, but she always continues to work on her personal artistic projects.
From January 2014, Marta lives in Paris where she realized various advertising campaigns (Generator Hostels ecc), editorials for several magazines (Papier Mache, In Bloom ecc), and other projects.
