I don’t really think about it. There are so many incredible singers out there, and so many that touch me and inspire me but I believe theres room for everybody. Whats so incredible about the voice and singing is everybody has their own. It’s like a fingerprint. No-one sounds identical to another; your life and your experiences are present in your voice. I’ve never decided how I want my voice to sound; it just happened

    Q. What things have you learned most about yourself this year?

I aim to always be better and I'll always be striving to learn and grow as my musical journey continues. Right now I’m proud of the body of work I’ve written for my album; it's honest for where I am in my life and that's the best I can ever give.

    Q. 2014 was a strong year for you with successful releases such as “Water Came Down” and “How’d You Like It”.  2013’s “Me & Your Ghost” is also a personal favorite. How do you feel about the current state of your music and where do you think you can get better?

    Q. You’re currently based in London, a city overflowing in great vocal talent. How do you attempt to differentiate yourself?

"...your life and your experiences        are present in your voice"

    Q. What do you consider to be your dream collaboration? Why?

There isn't one person that pops out to me. Maybe Erykah Badu- but only so I can sit and watch her write a song. I’d love to see that.

    Q. Your physical sense of style is both very fashionable and artistic. Where do you think it comes from?

Thank you! My mum is an artist and has a very good eye for fashion so perhaps there. I’ve always worn whatever I feel comfortable in as I think thats the most important thing. I love the human body and I love fashion- I think its incredible that we are able to express ourselves in so many ways & clothing is an amazing way to do that.

There are so many incredible up and coming artists, its hard to pick. This year I’ve loved Taylor McFerrin’s album Early Riser. Little Dragon continually inspire me & Movement are rocking my world right now.

Visually I’ve been inspired by Bill Viola, Richard Mosse & Vivian Sassen.

    Q. Which artists have inspired you throughout 2014?

    Q. What can we expect from Rosie Lowe in 2015

I’ll be releasing my album & hopefully lots of travelling and touring. Im so excited about seeing more of the world!

    I’m an obsessive list maker.

That vulnerability isn’t a weakness, it's the strongest thing any of us have.
