Q. Last year was a very successful year for you in the eyes of many. How would you describe your 2013?
A. 2013 was a very hectic year for me. I moved to a new country and left everything behind me and started from scratch. My world was turned upside down and I personally think my head and heart wasnt 100% focused on everything as i had to take in so much new into my life. I'm very grateful that my releases got such great feedback and love from the crowd. Im always nervous when i release a new track and it comes as such surprise every time I get good feedback from my releases. Nothing makes me happier and it's totally worth all the days and nights I spend in the studio.
Just look at "Progresia feat Linnea Schossow - Fire Fire Fire ". It got such huge support climbing up to number 1 on the beatport chart and I literally recorded these vocals in 15 minutes with my left foot out of the door as I was in Sweden in my brother's studio just for a quick visit. Never in the world would I imagine that it would be such a big success. So I'm very very thankful for all the greatness that came in 2013.
Q. Early on in your career in 2009 you got a breakthrough opportunity to work with the likes of Mat Zo and Ben Nicky. Describe for us how you felt to finally have the hard work pay off.
Q. Most of your productions and vocal work are built around modern Trance. Being such a diverse and multi-talented artist, do you see yourself experimenting with other genres in the future?
A. Absolutely for me music does not have a limit. I have been going to music school since I was 5 years old and I've been working with jazz, rock, pop but of course my heart is mostly fond of electronic music.
Don't let anyone destroy your dreams... You just have to follow your heart..."
Q. What great things can we expect from you in 2014?
A. At the moment I just finished a collab together with Fabio XB. I'm very excited and will debut this month on my gig in Milano, Italy alongside Fabio. I'm also working on other secret collabs and my own releases and another super secret project. In short I can't tell you too much so I guess you just have to wait and see ;)
A. I never really realized it was such big thing as soon as I hit a dream step I was ready to go another step higher. I guess I always want more and want to do better and better. It usually comes to me when im out on a gig and I see people sing along to the lyrics. It really warms my heart.
Q. You’ve worked with a lot of familiar names in Progressive House and Trance in a very short period of time. What qualities do you look for in an artist before collaborating?
A. Normally when I get together with someone for a collab I usually have admired their work for a long time. I look into different styles and quality of sound. Usually they contact me but sometimes it's the other way around.
Q. As a producer, songwriter, vocalist, and radio show host, I’m sure things can get quite overwhelming. When you’re not working on music, what other things take your interest?
A. I love to travel a lot, take pictures of nature and be with my nearest family and friends.
Q. Tell us a fun, unknown fact about yourself
A. I'm a short lady so it can sometimes be a struggle when I'm behind the decks as most of the time the tables are so high. Last time I was playing in India they had to make the table legs shorter so it would fit my length. Sometimes I have to stand on a small stool so i can see the crowd. But it's not a world going under problem ;)
Q. A quote or final words for the viewers.
"Nothing makes me happier... it's totally worth all the days and nights I spend in the studio"
A. A tip for those who have the same dream as mine : If you want something done you have to do it yourself and always trust your own heart. Huge thank you for all the support. You bright up my days!
Q. Which artist or artists would you like to work with the most in the future?
A. If I told you all I guess this would turn into a long book but to mention some of them: Royksoop, Markus Schulz, Skytech, Andrew Rayel , Above & Beyond , Kaskade, Morgan Page.
Q. What things have you learned from your brother Marcus, both as an artist and as a person?
A. Don't let anyone destroy your dreams. There will be many out there who wants to see you fail and use you. You just have to follow your heart and do your best and dont let anyone walk over you.
I love my brother of all my heart and he is always there for me when i need him even when sometimes he can be a pain ;)
