Tim Lingley is a fashion and portrait photographer, currently creating imagery in the ever-changing weather of the maritime provinces. Based in the Atlantic Canadian cultural hub of Halifax, Nova Scotia since 2012, Tim has been working primarily with local models and designers but seeks to expand his portfolio. Focus on lighting and composition serve him well capturing details in accessories and fabrics, while a desire to reach out to people creatively reflects in his client and street portraiture.
Working digitally allows for an extra flourish, while film is a constant adventure with rich, sometimes unpredictable results. Above all, he strives for the best possible photo in camera, working with models and clients to put forth their best and most genuine expressions. An extremely visual person, Tim’s projects seek to explore creative narratives within the frame, drawing from a mixed bed of influence from photographers such as Joey Lawrence, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Joe McNally, Annie Leibovitz and Yousef Karsh
